I am a research fellow within the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences based at the University of Edinburgh. I am working on image segmentation procedures in LBC1936 and other studies in clinical stroke research including MSS3.
Previously, I was a PhD student within the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences, based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. I worked on a project entitled “Magnetic Resonance Imaging to Assess Carotid-Brain Interactions in People with Stroke”, as part of the XILO-FIST clinical trial. I aimed to explore the relationship between carotid artery structure, brain structure and cognition in ischaemic stroke. Additionally, I investigated any effects allopurinol has on carotid artery structure, including % stenosis and intima-media thickness.
