Courtesy of Dr Tom MacGillivray and Mr Gavin Robertson, this image shows a probability map of the retinal vasculature created by a neural network classifier. The bright yellow pixels represent a high probability of the vascular network while the dark purple and black pixels represent low probability.
The image was acquired with an ultra widefield scanning laser ophthalmoscope (Optos P200C) as part of CARMEN (Cardiovascular And REtinal Morphology EyescaN study), funded by SINAPSE and OPTOS plc.
