‘Meet the Scientist’, (the second event rolling out the “getEmotional” programme) was held in Sensation Science Centre in Dundee as part of Brain Awareness Week in collaboration with the University of Dundee and SINAPSE. Both staff and students from the University of Dundee picked up the baton and incorporated the emotion-themed activities into the broader scope of Brain Awareness Week which included activities and experiments covering a wide variety of topics such as attention and motor control. This event was aimed at families and anyone with an interest in science. More than 200 people attended, with both young and old having the opportunity to get involved with exciting current research in Scotland.
