This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Data Manager to join an international research team working in dementia on an externally funded project. The TriBEKa project is a consortium of three research institutes (Barcelona Beta Brain Research Centre, Centre for Dementia Prevention in Edinburgh and Karolinska Institute, Sweden) that aims at building an imaging platform to facilitate the sharing of academic expertise in dementia prevention and advance knowledge in neurodegenerative diseases. A Data Manager is required to join the Centre for Dementia Prevention at the University of Edinburgh to work on this project. Key responsibilities will include the development, organisation and maintenance of a data environment and data base and documentation of existing information.

Applicants should have previous experience in management and documentation of data, resolve problems regarding data errors, data cleaning and maintenance. Degree or equivalent qualification in computing science or scientific subject will be valued. Experience of use of software for data management is essential.

Good communication, IT, planning and organisational skills are essential as is the ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary international team.

This post is full-time, to start as soon as possible and available for two years. The post is advertised as grade UE07. The post will be based at Kennedy Tower, Morningside.
