Since 2004, the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) has invested in research pools, multi-university research collaborations designed to make Scotland more globally competitive, with support for SINAPSE initiated in 2007.
SINAPSE and fellow research pools have collectively come together with our SFC-funded partners, the Innovation Centres and Interface, to intensify our efforts around interdisciplinary research and innovation to support economic recovery and societal change. Within this, we will continue to facilitate collaborative research and development working across the sectors.
Our cross-pool collaboration has launched the Research Innovation Scotland website, an interactive tool to better help all interested parties access and engage with the Scottish research and innovation ecosystem. This resource hosts case studies and information on upcoming co-organised activities, including webinars, workshops, conferences, and funding opportunities.
