UPDATE: Due to spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, the 2020 SINAPSE Annual Scientific Meeting will be held as a virtual meeting.
Join us online on 19 June 2020 to keep abreast of developments in clinical and experimental imaging, and learn about research based around MRI, CT, PET, SPECT, EEG, MEG, ultrasound, and human optical imaging.
The first virtual instalment of the SINAPSE Annual Scientific Meeting will be hosted using Hopin, an online event platform chosen by the SINAPSE Executive Committee on the basis of its functionality in replicating as much of the interactivity (between and among delegates, exhibitors, and presenters) of an in-person event as possible.
With Hopin, our ASM will have:
- a main stage for plenary sessions
- breakout rooms for parallel sessions and virtual poster presentations
- an expo area for virtual exhibitor booths
We have also allocated time between sessions in the meeting programme for speed networking, which will pair event participants for one-to-one video chats, similar to the experience of striking up conversations with fellow meeting attendees during coffee breaks at in-person meetings.
Programme
We are delighted to welcome Prof Uta Noppeney from Radboud University as our keynote speaker. Additional invited talks include updates on the pan-Scotland iCAIRD and PICTURES projects and a timely presentation on chest imaging in COVID-19.
The meeting programme [click heading above to view] also features stimulating presentations from SINAPSE members in plenary talks, interactive poster sessions, and parallel sessions on Image Analysis and Methods Development topics.
5 RCR CPD credits are awarded.
- The meeting starts at 9:00AM, but the Hopin event page will open at 8:45AM to allow plenty of time for delegates to sign in and take an initial look around the online platform.
Registration
ASM registration this year is free to all. Click heading above for instructions on how to register and information on what to expect from a virtual meeting.
Earlier plans for our first two-day SINAPSE ASM to take place this year in St Andrews are being postponed to June 2021. For those who already booked overnight accommodation at Agnes Blackadder Hall for this June, full refunds are being processed by the Accommodation, Conferences and Events team at University of St Andrews.
