The Scottish capital will host the 1-day event allowing the UK PET Chemists to meet and discuss recent results and developments in the PET radiochemistry field.

Programme: We are delighted to have 2 keynote presenters, Prof David Newby and Prof Paul Matthews. Prof Newby is director of the Clinical Research Imaging Centre at the University of Edinburgh and will present imaging research into cardiovascular disease. Prof Matthews is Head of the Division of Brain Sciences at Imperial College London and will present on the Dementia Platform UK and PET-MRI imaging.

Abstracts: Young researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts for short talks and posters. Abstracts are requested under the topics of Fluorine-18, Carbon-11, Other Positron Emitters and New Technology.

Short talks will be 10 minutes long with 2 minutes for questions (12 minutes total)
Posters should be size A0 in a portrait orientation. Please adhere to these dimensions otherwise your poster may extend beyond the edge of the poster board.
Poster presenters will be given a 2 minute poster pitch during the meeting. Speakers should present a maximum of 3 slides including the title slide. The presentation should tell the audience who you are, the aim of your work and your main result. You will be given a Poster Number. Please remember to put your poster number on each of your slides.
Prizes will be offered to the best poster and best short talk presented by a Student/Early Career Researcher
Meeting Venue and Travel Advice: The meeting will be held at the National Museum of Scotland in the city centre of Edinburgh. This venue is conveniently located at a walking distance (0.4 miles) from Waverley train station where taxis are also readily available.
Road: Street parking is very limited on site and at cost.
Trains: Edinburgh’s main train station (Waverley) is located at about 9min walk from the conference centre.
Plane: The Edinburgh Airport is located 14 miles away from the conference centre. Frequent flights to the main UK airports are available. EasyJet and BA operate frequent ‘cheap’ flights between London airports and Edinburgh. The airport is connected to Waverley by the AirLink bus 100 (frequent connection and journey is about 55min).
Accommodation: A number of reasonably priced hotels are located in the vicinity of the conference centre.
