The University of Edinburgh is looking for an enthusiastic, talented PET radiochemist to join Edinburgh Imaging’s state-of-the-art GMP facility as a Translational PET Radiochemist. This post will support the Scotland Total-body PET scanner facility hosted by Edinburgh Imaging and the post holder will play a key role in translating PET radiotracers into GMP compliant products.
The Translational Radiochemist will develop PET radiopharmaceutical radiosynthesis procedures for application in the GMP radiochemistry manufacturing facility based at Edinburgh Imaging QMRI facility. This post will support the Scotland Total-body PET scanner facility hosted by Edinburgh Imaging. This is a joint initiative led by the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is part of the National PET Imaging Platform (NPIP) funded by the Medical Research Council and UKRI which funded 2 total-body PET facilities with scanners sites at the BioQuarter campus in Edinburgh and at St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Early-stage bespoke radiochemistry development of PET tracers will be led by the University of Glasgow and translation of these tracers to GMP production in Edinburgh will be the focus of this post.
