The Social Brain in Action Lab (SoBA Lab), based at the University of Glasgow, invites applications for a fixed-term, full time post-doctoral researcher to work on the ERC Starting Grant ‘Social Robots‘ with Prof Emily S. Cross. The successful applicant will use behavioural, neuroimaging (fMRI) and neurostimulation (TMS/tDCS) measures to explore and compare experience-dependent plasticity among healthy young adults in Europe and Japan across prolonged periods of human-robot interaction.
The postdoctoral researcher will be a key member of the Social Robots team and will work closely with other team members. A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, or Computer Science), as well as outstanding written and spoken communication skills are essential. The successful applicant will be expected to commence between 1 January – 1 March 2019, and the post is available for an initial appointment period of 2 years.
