This is an exciting opportunity for a Superintendent Radiographer looking to be actively involved in MRI research imaging projects. This role is responsible for maintaining clinical and professional standards whilst providing comprehensive and effective day-to-day management of the radiographic service for the Edinburgh Imaging research MRI scanning facilities. The role is also central to the design, set up, ongoing support and close-out of imaging research projects funded from academic and commercial sources, plus delivery of NHS clinical services when using the Edinburgh Imaging MRI facilities at both the RIE and WGH sites.
The post holder will be involved in devising and implementing an ongoing programme of research service development and training. The role includes responsibility for the safe use and efficient performance of the MRI modalities and auxiliary equipment.
This Full Time post is fixed term for 3 years in the first instance with the expectation that it will continue long term.
