We are able to offer an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior MRI radiographer to join the imaging team of research radiographers, radiologists, physicists and imaging scientists at the Aberdeen Biomedical Imaging Centre (ABIC). The post holder will be responsible for the research radiographer team and day-to-day management of the University clinical research MRI scanner. We have a recently upgraded Philips 3T system at Foresterhill, which undertakes a variety of multimodal brain, cardiac, musculoskeletal and other imaging projects. NHS work is also undertaken on the research scanner 1.5 days/week. Collaboration opportunities exist with projects using other research imaging facilities such as Fast Field-Cycling (FFC) MRI, and with imaging research across Scotland through the Scottish Imaging Network SINAPSE.
We are looking for an innovative, organised radiographer with a flexible approach to work to provide a high quality, comprehensive MRI service to support the research programme. An analytical and enquiring approach to work as well as self-motivation and effective planning are required. It is expected that the successful candidate will have extensive MRI experience and some management and research experience.
