The OPTIMA CDT (Centre for Doctoral Training) in Optical Medical Imaging invites PhD students to attend a student led conference in Translational Medicine on the 31st of May-1st of June at the John McIntyre Conference Centre in Edinburgh.

We would like to invite students who are carrying out a PhD related to the application of physical science to healthcare and biomedical science (topics include: imaging, medical devices, medical application, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering and many more) and we would hope they would be interested in presenting their work in the form of a presentation or poster.
As well as poster and presentation sessions we also have also 3 confirmed speakers; Professor A Prasanna de Silva from Queen’s University Belfast, Professor Tony James from Bath University, as well as Dr Ruchi Gupta from the University of Hull.
In addition, a few social activities and workshops are planned, including a ceilidh on the 31st May.

All students will be asked whether they wish to attend the free dinner and ceilidh and if there are any dietary requirements over the course of the conference.
Student abstracts.
Student abstracts should be sent to imaging.cdt@ed.ac.uk by Friday 15th April for consideration as a poster or presentation by the TransMed Student CDT conference panel. If you would rather be excluded from consideration for a presentation, please indicate this in your abstract submission email. The abstract is to be one page in length which can include both a written and graphical section, there is a limit of 300 words. Successful candidates will be emailed by the 29th of April.
