The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) and Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), Taiwan have issued a call for joint projects in the fields of:
- Sensors and Imaging and their Applications including Medical Areas
- Neuroscience
The RSE-MoST Joint Project scheme is designed to facilitate international collaboration between researchers based in Scotland and Taiwan. A grant is provided to researchers to cover travel, subsistence and research expenses.
The collaboration should be based on a single project, with two teams or individuals based in Scotland and Taiwan. A relationship must have already been established between the Scotland-based and Taiwan-based researchers. The collaboration should involve bilateral exchanges between Scotland and Taiwan.
The Joint Project scheme runs for two years during which the RSE grant provides a maximum of £6,000 per year. This funding is to be used for travel and subsistence, with the option of using up to £1,000 on research expenses.
The closing date (for Joint Projects commencing in April 2016) is 5pm on 29 January 2016.
