Carnegie Vacation Scholarships support undergraduate research projects in any subject or area and are a great stepping stone for postgraduate studies.

• To be eligible, students must be of Scottish birth or descent, or have attended a Scottish secondary school for at least two years prior to starting university.
• Applicants must be on track to achieve a First or upper second class degree.
• Scholarships can only be taken up in the long summer vacation before the final year of study.
• Projects can be undertaken at a Scottish university or anywhere else in the world.
• Applications must be supported by an academic at a Scottish university who agrees to act as a supervisor during the project.
